Abstract
Abstract
Statue-making in Iran begins almost with the early stages of civilization in this ancient land. Among these, figurine vessels are a luxurious art form that, in addition to having aesthetic aspects, were also practical and were made in various forms, including human, animal, bird and composite shapes. Among them, the golden figurine jugs with the shape of a rooster's head are important. Since they were created only in the Ilkhanid era and are completely unique to this historical period, they have a very special place among other figurine vessels.
In this research, the intention is to study the morphological and formal characteristics of golden figurine jugs made in the form of a rooster's head and in the Ilkhanid historical period.
The questions of the present article are: What morphological characteristics are evident in golden figurine jugs of the Ilkhanid period that were made in the form of a rooster's head? And what is the form and mold in these figurine vessels?
To find answers to these questions, in the first step, an attempt has been made to introduce the gilded figurine-shaped jugs of the Ilkhanid era, which were made in the form of a rooster's head.
