چکیده

مقدمه و اهداف: امروزه اجتناب از اطلاعات سلامت مسئله‌ای رایج به‌ویژه در میان بیماران مبتلا به سرطان است؛ بنابراین، مطالعه‌ رفتار اجتناب از اطلاعات سلامت و عوامل مؤثر بر آن در میان بیماران مبتلا به سرطان از اهمیت ویژه‌ای برخوردار است؛ بر این اساس، هدف پژوهش حاضر، شناخت نقش نیاز به شناخت و نیاز به خاتمه در اجتناب از اطلاعات سلامت بیماران مبتلا به سرطان بود.
روش‌ها: پژوهش حاضر، به‌لحاظ ماهیت داده‌ها پژوهش کمی، به‌لحاظ هدف پژوهش کاربردی و به‌لحاظ گردآوری داده‌ها پژوهش توصیفی همبستگی بود. جامعه‌ پژوهش، آن دسته از دانشجویان دانشگاه شیراز بود که خود یا خانواده‌ آنان سابقه‌ ابتلا به بیماری سرطان داشتند. با توجه به هدف پژوهش، با روش نمونه‌گیریِ در دسترس، 212 نفر انتخاب شدند. جهت گردآوری داده‌ها، از پرسشنامه‌ای متشکل از پرسشنامه‌ اجتناب از اطلاعاتِ اقتباس‌شده از مایلز و همکاران، پرسشنامه‌ نیاز به شناختِ کاسیوپو و همکاران و پرسشنامه‌ نیاز به خاتمه‌ طراحی‌شده توسط وبستر و کروگلانسکی استفاده شد. پس از محاسبه‌ روایی و پایایی پرسشنامه‌ها و توزیع آن‌ها بین نمونه، داده‌های پژوهش از طریق آزمون همبستگی پیرسون، آزمون رگرسیون ساده و آزمون رگرسیون چندگانه و با استفاده از نرم‌افزار اس‌پی‌اس‌اس نسخه‌ 23 تجزیه‌وتحلیل شد.
یافته‌ها: یافته‌های پژوهش حاضر نشان داد که بین نیاز به شناخت و اجتناب از اطلاعات سلامت رابطه‌ منفی و معنی‌دار و بین نیاز به خاتمه و اجتناب از اطلاعات سلامت رابطه‌ مثبت و معنی‌داری وجود داشت؛ از طرفی دیگر، نتایج آزمون رگرسیون ساده نشان داد که نیاز به شناخت پیش‌بینی‌کننده‌ منفی و معنی‌دارِ اجتناب از اطلاعات سلامت و نیاز به خاتمه پیش‌بینی‌کننده‌ مثبت و معنی‌دارِ اجتناب از اطلاعات سلامت بود؛ علاوه‌بر آن، نتایج آزمون رگرسیون چندگانه نشان داد که نیاز به شناخت و نیاز به خاتمه به‌طور هم‌زمان نیز پیش‌بینی‌‌کننده‌ معنی‌دارِ اجتناب از اطلاعات سلامت بودند.
بحث و نتیجه‌گیری: نتایج پژوهش حاضر نشان داد که تعامل هم‌زمان نیاز به شناخت و نیاز به خاتمه نقش مهمی در اجتناب از اطلاعات سلامت در میان بیماران مبتلا به سرطان دارد؛ بر این اساس، پیشنهاد می‌شود که به نقش هم‌زمان این دو ویژگی شناختی توجّه شود. این رویکرد می‌تواند زمینه‌ساز طراحی نظام‌های حمایتی مؤثر و اقدامات هدفمند برای این گروه از بیماران باشد؛ همچنین، تدوین سیاست‌گذاری‌ها و اقدامات لازم از قبیل اجرای برنامه‌های آموزشی همانند آموزش سواد اطلاعات سلامت می‌تواند به بهبود مواجهه‌ با این مسئله کمک کند.
اصالت: پژوهش حاضر با شناسایی نقش هم‌زمان نیاز به شناخت و نیاز به خاتمه در اجتناب از اطلاعات سلامت بیماران مبتلا به سرطان، خلأ پژوهشی موجود را پُر می‌کند.
