Abstract

Abstract: Space in the Islamic City of interlocking set of three dimensions of physical, mental and spiritual. In fact, the internal coherence of the resulting space dimensions mentioned collaborating with each other. The interaction between the physical and mental spaces that are primarily influenced by the Islam teachings, flourishing spiritual sense space and connection with the universe and bring the kingdom. At present, due to weakness in the theoretical, Islamic philosophical concepts has little relevance to theories urban planning. This study specifically examines the internal cohesion of the communities in the area, "Amel" city of Mashhad deals. Physical changes resulting from the implementation of the project "Majd" of its characteristics is considered. In this study we developed the theoretical framework to assess the internal consistency of space in the Islamic city. We've completed questionnaires from 144 families living in the neighborhood. Then we used the Wilcoxon and ordinal regression. The results showed that: The neighborhood physical condition has improved but the internal consistency and tend to stay in the neighborhood declined.
