چکیده

دولت‌ها در برقراری مناسبات بین‌المللی و روابط ژئوپلیتیک از ابزارهای متفاوتی بهره می‌گیرند که دیپلماسی عمومی یکی از آن‌هاست. دیپلماسی عمومیِ هر کشور در ایجاد تصویر ملی مناسب نزد دیگران و تصحیح برداشت آن‌ها نقشی تعیین کننده دارد و می‌تواند در پیشبرد اهداف فرهنگی-سیاسی کشور‌ها به‌ویژه در مقابله با تهدید‌های بین المللی با هدف تامین امنیت ملی کشور‌ها نقش ایفا کند. ترجمه به مثابه کنشی فرهنگی و ابزاری کارا می‌تواند در تأمین اهداف دیپلماسی عمومی نقشی مهم ایفا نماید. این مقاله بر آن است که علاوه بر پیشنهاد و تبیین مفهوم دیپلماسی ترجمه، به مثابه شاخه‌ای از دیپلماسی عمومی، با استفاده از روش پژوهش ترکیبی، عملکرد دستگاه‌‌های متولی دیپلماسی ترجمه را ارزیابی کند، دستگاه‌هایی مانند سازمان فرهنگ و ارتباطات اسلامی، مرکز ساماندهی ترجمه، مجمع جهانی اهل بیت، جامعه المصطفی، سازمان تبلیغات اسلامی و مجتمع جهانی تقریب. ابزارهای دریافت داده‌های این پژوهش عبات بودند از انجام مصاحبه اختصاصی با کارگزاران مربوط و طراحی پرسشنامه تخصصی . یافته‌های پژوهش نشان داد دیپلماسی ترجمه در صورتی که هوشمندانه به‌کار گرفته شود می‌تواند در زدودن انگاره‌‌های منفی از افکار عمومی کشور‌های دیگر و خلق تصویری مثبت از فرهنگ و جامعه‌ی کشور مجری این نوع دیپلماسی موثر باشد.
